THE FUTURE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL HUB OF BELGRADE
SAVA SQUARE
A FUSION OF PAST AND FUTURE FOR GENERATIONS TO COME
Sava Square, the former railway station, and the Old Post Office building have been restored to their former glory.
The restoration of this gem has preserved its rich history, transforming it into a new cultural and educational centre of the city, featuring an archaeological museum and a theater stage, located near the most modern bilingual school and kindergarten.

A CULTURAL HERITAGE WHOSE STORY WITHSTANDS THE TEST OF TIME
Sava Square, now an indispensable part of Belgrade’s history, was once a crossroads of railway lines, connecting the city to the rest of the region. From the railway station to the monument of Stefan Nemanja and the Old Post Office building, this area stood as a symbol of architectural prestige and urban development of its time.
For decades, the square served as the heart of city life, its brick walls bearing witness to each era and preserving memories of key moments in Belgrade’s history and growth. Today, Sava Square stands as a true symbol of Belgrade’s cultural heritage.
THE RESTORATION THAT IS SHAPING BELGRADE'S FUTURE
Today, Sava Square has been shaped by a restoration that preserves its rich history while giving it a renewed purpose for the decades ahead.
The 23-metre-tall monument of Stefan Nemanja has become the square’s centrepiece. The Old Post Office building has been carefully restored, its walls regaining their pre-war splendour and its interior, now adapted to house an archaeological museum and two theatre stages.
The square also features a pedestrian zone spanning 20,000 square metres, with over 300 trees and expansive green spaces. Its diverse offerings have transformed it into a new hub for Belgrade’s culture and education, designed for all generations.
