Belgrade Waterfront Marina, a new city district developed by Belgrade Waterfront, represents a next chapter in the development of the Serbian capital. Located on the right riverbank of the Sava, bordered by the Ada Bridge on one side and a revitalized pedestrian bridge on the other side, Belgrade Waterfront Marina will offer fellow citizens and guests of the capital plenty of opportunities, starting from the opera and other cultural amenities, to the city’s largest marina, promenades and parks.

This part of the city is designed as a peaceful, green and well-connected surroundings, intended for everyone who cherishes a modern lifestyle, with an unavoidable and distinctive Belgrade charm.
A new experience of the river: Yacht club, outdoor pool and deckchairs on the Sava riverbank
Belgrade will get its new landmark – a marina that will become one of the city’s favorite meeting points. It will be situated on the riverbank next to Hall 1, and an architecturally impressive, mixed-use, 120 metres high building will be built in immediate vicinity. In addition to Kula Belgrade, it will become a new visual landmark in this part of Belgrade, carefully positioned to compelment the city skyline.

As part of the marina, there will also be a modern, world-class yact club with a large outdoor swimming pool, which will position Belgrade side by side with the world’s most prestigious waterfront destinations. Conceived on the model of the most famous international marinas, this area will be the new centre of Belgrade’s waterfront social life, and in addition to a superb gastronomic experience, it will also offer a zone for rest and enjoyment on deckchairs.

A large ferris wheel, the Belgrade Eye, will be built on the New Belgrade’s riverbank of Sava, between the future pedestrian bridge and the Gazela Bridge. The panoramic wheel will become a new tourist and city attraction, a symbol of modern Belgrade focused on the vision of the future and a public realm accessible to everyone.

The concept of new part of the city also includes the extension of the Sava Promenada all the way to Ada Ciganlija. The most beautiful Belgrade promenade will retain its recognizable identity in the new part of the city, supplemented with even more greenery, flowers, three rows of trees and carefully shaped green units.

The bicycle path will stretch along the 2.4 km long extension of Promenada, with a number of cafes, restaurants and places for break and enjoyment along the river, while “25. maj” and Ada Ciganlija will be connected by a continuous esplanade along the riverbank. In this way, Belgrade is taking a strong step towards the world league of cities that perceive their shores as the most valuable, liveliest and most attractive urban areas.
The Green Corridor for a healthier and better connected city
Belgrade will become richer in greenery and will get a unique Green Corridor, a linear park that will connect Topčider Park with the pedestrian bridge and new parks on both sides of it into a single whole. This green line will bring spacious areas for walking and resting, as well as new bicycle paths, creating an ideal space for recreation and socialising.

The Green Corridor will become one of the most important ecological belts of the city, which creates a calmer ambiance, separates Belgrade Waterfront Marina from the dynamic Vojvoda Mišić Boulevard and shapes a space for a secluded, slower and healthier way of living. This is not only a new connection between the two riverbanks, but also an invitation to a different, better quality life in the city, a life in which everyday life takes place among the trees, along the promenade and with a view of the river.
The district tailored to true cosmopolitans
By transforming Hall 1 into a cultural institution that will become a home of the opera, this space will gain the status of one of the most important cultural centres in the region. Thus, the foundations of a new cultural district dedicated to music, performing arts and big local and international productions will be laid. In front of Hall 1, there will be a central square, which will become a new gathering point and place for open-air events. The future public purposes of Halls 2 and 3 will be defined by the public architectural competition.

The heart of Belgrade Waterfront Marina will be a luxurious avenue with two lanes in each directions, wide sidewalks, three rows of trees and plenty of shade. The construction of an underground garage is planned in front of Hall 1, and parking lots near key roads will relieve the streets while preserving the pedestrian character of the neighborhood.
Over the past years, Belgrade Waterfront has reshaped and revitalized the city’s shores, becoming a recognizable symbol of the Serbian capital. The first stage of development brought new energy to the city, through a clear architectural direction and visual identity, with plenty of content and public spaces for citizens. The transition to the next phase creates an ambiance in which luxury is expressed through peace, nature and culture, responding to the needs of those who seek more from modern city life, but in an environment that provides silence, greenery and direct contact with art, nature and active cultural and social life.
