What does it look like when children become entrepreneurs for a day? From creating a product and brand name, through setting a price and presenting an idea, to talking with customers – all of this awaits elementary school students at the new educational event Biz klinci, which will be held on October 10th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Belgrade Waterfront, on the new part of Sava Promenada, between Gazela Bridge and the Fair.
The event is intended for children aged 9 to 14, who will have the opportunity to design their own product and present it to visitors at their stand through team work. The goal is for students to become familiar with the basics of entrepreneurship through practical experience and at the same time develop creativity, initiative, communication, responsibility and teamwork.
Each of the three best teams will win a prize worth RSD 100,000. The winners will be selected by an expert jury based on the originality and creativity of the idea, the quality and feasibility of the product, the manner of presentation and communication with customers, as well as teamwork. In addition to the main prizes, each registered team will receive a voucher worth RSD 10,000. Registration is open and it will last until September 25, and school teams can register on the website bizklinci.rs.
During the event, sales at the stands will take place through festival tokens. Visitors will buy tokens at the central info-desk and use them to buy displayed products or use them as a kind of reward for the teams that left the best impression on them. At the end of the event, the collected tokens will be converted into a value realized through the Galerija gift card.
In parallel with the sales at the stands, an entertaining program and educational workshops will take place, along with a surprise guest.
From idea to product and customer
Biz klinci brings the chance for children to learn about entrepreneurship through an experience that is educational, creative and fun at the same time – from the first idea and creation of the product, to its presentation and the first contact with the customer. The offer can include various creative products, starting from handmade jewelry, decorative and artistic objects and products made of textiles, paper, clay or wood, to educational games or applications.
In this way, students get the chance to not only keep their ideas on paper but to turn them into a concrete product and experience what it looks like when a real customer is interested in their idea. The event will bring together the youngest participants, their families and visitors, creating a space where learning continues outside the classroom.
