International competition for the urban-architectural solution of the part of the Sava Square

Belgrade Waterfront and the Urban Institute of Belgrade announced an open, international, one-stage, anonymous competition for the urban-architectural solution of the part of the Sava Square in the back of the building of the former Railway station in Belgrade. The total prize fund is EUR 70,000.

The deadline for submission of competitive works is August 6, 2026 until 11.59 p.m. and the results will be announced on August 27, 2026, at the latest.

The jury is chaired by Belgrade’s chief urban planner Marko Stojčić, and is also composed of Natalija Belić, representative of the Agency for Spatial and Urban planning of the Republic of Serbia, Stefan Obućina, representative of the “Belgrade metro and train” company, Maja Joković Potkonjak, representative of the Belgrade Urban Institute, while Daliborka Stojaković, representative of Belgrade Waterfront is deputy president of the jury.

A prize of EUR 40,000 is provided for the project that wins the first prize, EUR 20,000 for the runner-up, and EUR 10,000 for the third prize, while the distribution will be carried out according to the provisions of the Rulebook on the manner and procedure for announcing and implementing the urban-architectural competition, with the possibility of different distribution of the prizes within the stipulated prize pool.

The language of the competition is Serbian (Latin) or English.
