Virtual Race against the fastest animals in the world

Virtual Race against the fastest animals in the world

The youngest citizens of Belgrade had the opportunity to find out whether they were faster than a kangaroo, black mamba or cheetah, in a unique National Geographic virtual race organized at the Sava Promenada.

Belgrade Waterfront and National Geographic organized this interesting project aimed at providing children with a unique opportunity to experience racing against wild animals at the 20-meter-long athletic track. The inspiration for the project was found in the animals’ speed – the Institute of Physics of the University of Belgrade, calculated the average speed of 15 different animals, so junior runners competed against virtual copies of animals that ran at their actual speed in nature.

The event was also enjoyed by animal lovers, who learned many curiosities about the wildest inhabitants of different parts of our planet.
