15th edition of Museum Night takes place in Serbia

Within the traditional manifestation of ‘Museum Night’, which was held on 19 May under the theme of ‘Victors and Victories’, art and history lovers visited museums, galleries, cultural and other monumental institutions, including Geozavod, one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in Belgrade and the headquarter of Belgrade Waterfront.

In cooperation with Belgrade Waterfront, visitors during the organised tour were introduced to the development and transformation of architecture in Savamala, from its first buildings to the current construction projects located in one of the oldest districts of the city. Visitors also learned numerous interesting historical facts about the Sava River bank and about the creativity of architect Nikola Nestorovic, who designed some of the most significant buildings in the capital, including the National Museum, the Bristol Hotel and the Technical Faculty.

This Museum Night was the event’s 15th iteration and involved the participation of more than 40 cities across Serbia, including more than 60 locations in Belgrade alone.
