One of the most authentic parts of Belgrade – the Sava Park within Belgrade Waterfront – will be transformed into a magical winter fairy tale from December 15th to January 15th – a place for the most beautiful holiday events, filled with good food, even better music and magic for all ages and tastes.
The celebration time is coming! The time we spend with our loved ones, the time of giving, loving and sharing. It is in the spirit that the Winter Fairy Tale – the first winter festival of its kind in Belgrade – was created. It will make visitors appreciate this most beautiful and most romantic part of the year for up to 30 days. Although the unique festive atmosphere is already a Belgrade tradition, this year the celebration also gets down to the river. With the slogan „Magic is here!“, Sava Park will become a place from magical holiday movies and fairy tales, where visitors will be able to enjoy their favorite music in authentic atmosphere, as well as a rich gastronomic offer and other unavoidable winter activities such as ice skating and hanging out with Santa Claus.
The opening of this magical holiday festival on December 15th at 5 PM begins sensationally with a concert by the „Kolibri“ children’s choir and RTS Big Band with special guests: Jelena Tomašević, Tijana Bogićević, Jelena Gavrilović, Dušan Svilar and Žarko Stepanov. Along with magnificent fireworks and a joint countdown, New Year’s lights will be turned on, announcing a month of the most beautiful holiday events, farewell to the old and welcome the New Year in the brighest possible spirit.
The organizers took care of all generations, so the park will be divided into several zones, where everyone will be able to find a pleasure for themselves and their senses. Adventurers, romantics and the youngest visitors can go to the large ice rink “Ice Realm” or to the “Magic labyrinth”. When you get hungry, join gourmets and other fans of good food and drinks in the “Wine & Dine” zone or the hot Fire Pits, with all-day fire, delicious food and winter magic sharing. The Best Wishes Christmas Tree will be at the centre of all happenings, so don’t forget to wish for one in 2023.
A diverse program is also prepared for the main stage, with concerts by the favorite musicians, performances by the best children’s choirs and a great DJ program, which will ensure that the atmosphere is always at a special level. Bisera Veletanlić and Vasil Hadžimanov, Zvonko Bogdan, Lena Kovačević, Tijana Bogićević, Leontina and choir “Carolija”, The Belgrade Dixilend Orchestra, Abba Real Tribute Band – these are just some of the musical “episodes” that will embellish this series of the most beautiful holiday happenings to remember. In addition, we will enjoy the first outdoor winter cinema, with screenings of the favorite holiday movies.
For the youngest fellow citizens, children’s theatre plays will be performed on the main stage on weekends, and as a special surprise (shhhh), favorite children’s actors will read the nicest fairy tales.
