Belgrade Waterfront Awards BW Vista’s Main Works To STRABAG

Belgrade, Serbia, April 24th, 2017 – Main works contract for BW Vista, a new residential building within Belgrade Waterfront, has been awarded to STRABAG d.o.o. Belgrade, one of the largest construction companies operating in Serbia.

Piling for BW Vista commenced in December, and main construction works are set to begin in May.

Commenting on the signing of the contract, Nikola Nedeljkovic, General Manager of Belgrade Waterfront, said:

“STRABAG d.o.o. Belgrade is a part of the international group with decades-long experience in constructing some of the most demanding projects all over the world. Their portfolio and expertise complement our commitment to creating high quality buildings and delivering a unique waterfront lifestyle. We are satisfied with the progress achieved so far, as well as with the fact that we already have four active construction sites within the development.”

Situated in a superb location, in close proximity to Sava Promenada and BW Residences, BW Vista is planned to be 82 metres high and designed to accommodate 228 simple and elegant residential units, ranging from studios to three bedroom apartments, spanning over 23 floors.

The building is complemented by cafes and amenities surrounded by landscaped gardens overlooking the courtyard, as well as a kindergarten and a children’s playground, which makes it ideal for family living. Future tenants will be within walking distance of BW Galerija, soon to be the biggest lifestyle and shopping destination in the region.

Following the signing of the main works’ contract for construction of the new residential building, Dragan Pavelic, General Manager of STRABAG d.o.o. Belgrade, said:

We are looking forward to starting a fruitful partnership with Belgrade Waterfront for this spectacular project. STRABAG brings in many years of experience with major global projects, while at the same time, BW Vista will be a Serbian venture: this monumental building will be realised mostly by domestic resources and local workforce. STRABAG has been active in Serbia since 2002 and today employs close to 1,000 employees in this country.

Interest in residential apartments within BW Vista has not waned since the building was launched in December 2016. BW Vista is expected to welcome its first residents in the first half of 2019.
