The fifth, jubilee edition of Opera on Water

The traditional Opera on Water will be held this year as well, on September 8^th and 9^th starting from 8.30 PM on the plateau of Geozavod. The five-year anniversary will be celebrated in a trend with outdoor concerts, which are truly exclusive in the world metropolises.

On the first day of the event, the program features a masterpiece of Giacomo Puccini, one of the greatest composers of Italian opera. “La Boheme” is a real movie story about passion, love and greed, which will be performed in a spectacular outdoor opera setting.

On the second evening of the Opera on Water, the RTS Symphony Orchestra and Choir will perform a unique Concert of film music from the most popular blockbusters, such as movie series about James Bond, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Pink Panther and many others.

On the occasion of the fifth Opera on Water, one of the world’s most popular prima donnas Aida Garifullina, who shared the stage with the famous pop star Robbie Williams and tenor Andrea Bocelli, will perform exclusively. Aida is considered to be the most beautiful lyrical voice of the current international opera scene. In the Belgrade performance of “La Boheme”, Aida got the role of Mimi, while the other roles belong to tenor Matteo Roma and baritone Zeljko Lucic, accompanied by the choir, soloists and ballet of the National Opera from Timisoara. The conductor of this special performance will be maestro Dejan Savic.

For the first time this year, a special amphitheatre that has not been seen in our country before will be installed, turning Geozavod plateau into a real opera scene. Both evenings will be accompanied by unusual special stage effects and a Gala Opening Ceremony, as well as a special Opera Garden Zone.
