New Year’s spectacle on Kula Belgrade

A spectacle of world renown! This is how the welcome of 2024 in Belgrade Waterfront can be briefly described. With a musical and stage performance in the „craziest night“, it once again confirmed why it proudly bears the epithet of a world-class destination with the best New Year’s celebrations.

Just before the end of 2023, a special New Year’s projection was broadcast on the Kula Belgrade, accompanied by a game of powerful lasers, and when the last second of the old year was counted down on the media facade, a real light and pyrotechnic spectacle of world scale from the highest building in Serbia and the region was arranged, such as is rarely seen in this part of planet.

In addition to being fired from as many as 20 floors of the Kula Belgrade, the new symbol of the Serbian capital, a multi-minute fireworks were also arranged on the entire  New Belgrade riverbank of Sava, from Gazela and the Old Sava Bridge. This impressive visual show was further enhanced by the music composed specially for this occasion, with the national musical motifs intertwining it.

After warming up to the songs of Sara Jo and singing Frajle’s hits in chorus, the visitors were overwhelmed by the incredible energy emitted from the stage by trumpet master Dejan Petrovic and his famous Big Band. 2024 was welcomed in style with their trumpet bravado.

An unforgettable multimedia performance on the Sava Promenada, whose images travelled around the globe and presented Serbia and its capital in the most beautiful way, was organized in cooperation with top professionals from the local company Pyro Team, which has more than 3,000 fireworks in its portfolio. Their were supported by the renowned French company Groupe F, which participated with its pyrotechnics in numerous New Year’s celebrations at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, at the official opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, as well as at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
