The lightning on Kula Belgrade brought up to life the image of the Serb who brought light to the planet

With a light performance made of lightning that created the image of Nikola Tesla on Kula Belgrade, the greatest scientist in the history of mankind was honored in a spectacular way, who forever changed the world in which we live with his ingenious inventions and discoveries.

The contribution of Tesla’s brilliant mind to the development of science and technological progress is impossible to fully comprehend. He will be remembered as the inventor of the polyphase system, the reverse magnetic field, the induction motor and the Tesla’s transformer, and he also significantly contributed to the transmission and modulation of the radio signals, as well as the field of X-rays. Thanks to his system of alternating currents, much easier and more efficient long-distance transmission of electricity was made possible. Without it, after all, there would be no projections on Kula Belgrade.

The fact that he is the only Serb whose name was found in the International System of Units – „Tesla“ (T) is accepted as the unit of measurement for the strength of the magnetic field (magnetic flux density) – is sufficient proof of the strength of his mind and his greatness. He is the author of more than 700 patents, registered in 25 countries, and the Belgrade airoprt proudly bears his name.

With a series of fascinating projections on Kula Belgrade, the new symbol of the Serbian capital, Belgrade Waterfront cherishes the memory of the most famous people from our history, who have forever indebted not only Serbia, but also the entire planet, and revives their image and work in an unusual way.
